 “Many Cultures...One Dream”

IMPORTANT CHANGE: This year students will be asked to submit a 3 minute video recording of their oration instead of an essay this year.  The videos will take the place of the essays and first round orations. Therefore, the top 5 FINALISTS will be chosen exclusively from the video submissions.  At the beginning of the recording, the students should include an introduction of their full name and high school.  The 3 minute recording then begins after their introduction.  Student orations will be judged only on content and presentation; video quality will not impact judging.  Note cards will be allowed for the video submissions; however, students moving to the final round will not be allowed to use notecards or visual aids.  Students must be high school seniors within the Frisco ISD or homeschooled with a Frisco address.

Top 5 Students will then be selected from the video submissions as finalists to compete at the final event on Monday, January 18th at 7:00 pm  in front of a panel of judges.  Only students and judges will be present for the livestream event; there will be no live audience for this year’s event.  All attendees at the livestream will be socially distanced and required to wear masks when they are not orating.   All videos must be emailed to or  If there are difficulties attaching your video, please contact Angelia Pelham at (214) 878-3746.  Included with the video in the body of the email, students must include the following:

  • Full Name (First and Last Name)

  • Parents Name

  • High School

  • GPA

  • Contact Information (Phone & email address)

*Videos must be submitted no later than midnight on December 11th.

**Please note that all winners of the scholarships must present validation of their high school diplomas and college acceptances in order to receive scholarship awards.
